Remedy Oak - 18th April
On Tuesday, April 18th, the Mizuno Golf Pairs Tour headed to the esteemed Remedy Oak golf club. With over 170 enthusiastic golfers in attendance, the event proved to be a resounding success. The weather remained pleasant throughout the day, offering a unique experience without the usual rain showers that have accompanied previous visits. The challenging course provided an exciting early-season test for players of all handicaps, showcasing Remedy Oak's exceptional conditions after a period of recent flooding.
Course Conditions and Challenges
Despite recent difficulties caused by flooding, the course at Remedy Oak was in impeccable shape for the tournament. Golfers praised the firm greens and tree-lined fairways that tested their skills and strategy. Players found the course to be a challenging yet fair test of their abilities, with both newcomers and experienced golfers embracing the opportunity to tackle the course's obstacles.
Outstanding Performances
Lawson D'ath, a professional footballer from Oxfordshire, delivered a spectacular shot of the day, launching a remarkable driver shot down the 10th hole, setting the stage for an incredible back 9 performance. Another standout performance came from Lance, who achieved an impressive birdie on the 9th hole and accumulated a remarkable total of 47 points alongside their partner.
Acknowledging the Organisers and Winners
The success of the event would not have been possible without the efforts of Aaron, Ryan, and the organising team who efficiently managed the tournament. Special recognition was given to Ryan Greenwood for achieving the longest drive on the 14th hole, and Stephanie Bristow, who secured the longest drive in the ladies' category on the same hole. Additionally, Lawrence Miles was honored with the best-dressed golfer award, adding a touch of style to the event.
