Fortrose - Thursday 19th August

FORTROSE AND ROSEMARKIE GOLF CLUB
SCOTLAND
Playing on one of the finest links golf courses in Scotland is a must for your golfing calendar, especially as we are so close to other distinguished links in the area, such as Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart and Nairn.
The clubs passion on what is the 15th Oldest Recorded Club in the World (1793) is to provide all visitors who come to our venue with the most memorable round of traditional Scottish links golf possible.
The greens were not just fast but also deceptive, with tight fairways and strategically placed bunkers throughout the course – the trademark of the all-time master of bunkering, James Braid.
Whilst the course is playing to its full capacity, members, their guests and any golfers visiting our links can play from ANY of our Tees.
The choice is your own so you can of course play from the Yellow, White or the new Black tees which will add to the experience of playing on a true Scottish Links Golf Course.
Ladies are advised to play from the RED tees. Visiting Golfers with a higher handicap are advised to play from the Yellow or White Tees.
Our golfers were playing from the white tees, and playing the full 6085 Yards that the Fortrose & Rosemarkie Links Golf Course has to offer, along with experiencing the signature 4th hole from the more difficult teeing ground where par is never a bad score!
Fortrose has matured into an extremely attractive golf course receiving great praise from visiting golfers for it’s immaculate condition, beautiful environment and above all it’s ability to test golfers without being unfair.
Set in a seaside location, the neighboring Gulf Stream ensures year round links golf, whilst the romantic peaks of Loch Ness present a stunning backdrop to the landscape.
It was over the links land of Scotland that the game of golf was born and still today the true links experience is unparalleled the world over.
A test for even the most established player. Thankfully, four more teeing options make this utterly stunning and uniquely situated course enjoyable for every level of golfer.
Best shot was Sandie Evans who rocketed a driver off the 4th hole (hardest hole) to put it down the centre off the ladies red pots for the win on that hole!!

Well done to Ivan Clingan who put it to 6ft on the 18th par 3, from 211 yards with a half swing hybrid! Very impressive!!
Best dressed today was Michael Webster who looked like he was teeing off in Hawaii!!
